update search results after each character typed.
Update search results in real-time as characters are added to the query without the need to hit Enter or "search".
You may only need to type 2 or 3 characters to get to the song you're looking for, but if you have to submit the query, you don't know when you've input enough of the name to narrow the results sufficiently. Huge UX benefit. Make it a togglable option if too computationally expensive for some devices.

Allow alphabetical shortcuts in sort by Artist
Add a toggle (or additional layer, i.e. tap artist name to get to artist list, then have alphabetical headers over the artists that you can tap to get to alphabetical sort) to allow artists to be sorted in the same way as song titles. It can be much faster to find the correct song by quickly getting to the artist, as when you sort by title, the songs are by nature surrounded by titles with similar names.

Please add support small letter chords
ChordPro Implementation: Notes
If enabled in the config, ChordPro will understand lowercase root-only chords to mean note names. Note names will be treated (shown, transposed) exactly as chords, but will not account for diagrams.
This can be used for example for intro’s that start with some single notes before the chords:
{comment: Intro [f] [g] [a] [E] }

Need Db, Gb, Ab
Db is represented in the program as C#, but I wish I could view key changes as flats instead of sharps.

Bug - drag/drop song to set list
Using latest (May/2020) release.
When creating a set list I was dragging song to it and placing at the bottom of the list. This work for a period of time but then it would stop placing at the bottom and I would have to drag down to the bottom.
I tried several things as far as where the mouse pointer is placed and the set list moved it like it was placing at bottom, but still moved the song up in the list.

Feature request - Start/Stop bars
Have an option to enable Start/Stop bars, with maybe color options and font size for title
This would be a bar at the top of page at beginning of song with song title in it.
There would also be a bar at the end of a song on last page.
These give visual reference of beginning and end of song so you don't accidentally go the another song.

Bug fix
I use chords above the lyric. When I type spaces to add the next chord, the program leaves a dot "." (punctuation mark- period)

Make right to left languages justify to the right
I work a lot with Hebrew songs, where the text goes right to left.
It would look much better if the text could be justified right to left when a song is in Hebrew.3 votes -
Display song title (and optional artist) in presentation mode
Need a way to display song title and artist when left panel is closed.
Possible to have them in a different color as well.
Also have it freeze at top of screen and let notation scroll up to it.

Please display how many votes a version of a song has on Ultimate Guitar
To help us save time, please display the number of votes a version of a song has already received for example on Ultimate Guitar.com, it's easy to look for the version with the most votes as generally a very high quality version.

Sections with labels in a setlist
It would be great to add labeled dividers in a setlist. For example, I use Chordle as a worship leader, and it would be nice to have labels for elements of the service (i.g. announcement, offering, sermon) in my setlist.

Remember themes
Use-case:
I want to switch regularly between a dark theme and a light one. Clearly, it's useful for day/night.
But I want to customize both of them, because I don't like the built-in default themes.Problem:
Right now, Chordle has two "default" themes and one "custom". I can customize any of them, but all the customizations are
reset and forgotten at the moment I switch to any other theme. So I change back to my custom theme, and all the customizations are gone, which is really confusing and irritating.
So long term usage of any two themes is out of…3 votes -
Add audio recording feature in order to be able to listen how I played and sing the song.
When I did not play and sing a song for a long time, sometimes I forget how I was used to play and sing a song, so, add audio recording feature in order to be able to listen how I was used to play and to sing a song.

Import & Export of Slashes for beats
A second plea for this! While Chordle allows slashes in the chord line to represent beats, it doesn't convert them properly to chordpro, nor does it import them from Chordpro.
I use forward slashes for beats, and back slashes to indicate a quick chord change (ie half bar). For example:
C C G \ Em A D / / C
This is a song that I once wrote to someone I forgotwhich in Chordpro should be:
[C]This is a [C]song that [G]I once[] [Em]wrote to [A]someone [D]I for[/]got [/] [C]
EDIT For some reason, the above formatting gets changed…

Transposing between major & minor
When I transpose a song, written in C-major, to A-minor, I kinda expect the chords not to change at all.
Instead, it transposes to A-major.
I know, this should not ever happen, since I should not transpose from major to minor & vice versa...
But the A-major result seems kinda "even more wrong" O:-)
I guess either I should not be able to cross-transpose between major and minor outside the edit mode, or it could observe the key signature and treat A-minor as C-major, instead as A-major?

Remembering setlist position
I have a lot of songs saved, but I don't use setlists, almost never.
So, in order to see more of the songs in the song library left panel, every single time I launch the app, the first thing I do is to click the "arrow down" button to minimize the setlist window, so the whole left panel is available for the song library.
It's definitely not a big issue, but it would be nice, if it would remember to stay down :-)

Many Ideas
First of all, let me praise you for the amazing job you've done in creating this fantastic piece of software.
After having used the app for over a year almost weekly, I do have a good idea of a few of the shortcomings.
It's not really a shortcoming, but a feature that will imidately broaden your user base/clients. iOS version of the app for iPad.
80% of the musicians I interact with on a daily basis use an iPad with OnSong. Many of them are really frustated and willing to pay money to try something else.Sync accross accounts. For…

Page Up and Page Down, Directional Arrows in Search Results
It would be a big help if you could enable Page Up, Page Down, and the Up and Down directional arrows throughout the app. Especially in search results, for example. When looking up an artist (ex. U2 or Pearl Jam) with an enormous library of songs, it is tedious to have to use the scroll bar to scroll down through the results. Less mouse and more keyboard controls is always a bonus for me. Thank you!
