  1. Bug: Saving song when changing only metadata

Editing song metadata and saving via Ctrl+S does not work properly.

    How to emulate:

    1) Open any existing song, edit.
    2) Do not change lyrics, do not even click into the content edit textarea.
    3) Change some metadata (ie. Author, Title)
    4) Hit Ctrl+S

    Result:
Notification "Song saved" will pop up, edit window closes, but changes are not saved.

If saving via "Save song" button, everything works OK.
Also, if you just click into the lyrics textarea after your metadata change (and still do not change anything in the textarea), the Ctrl+S shortcut will trigger a proper save.

The next release of Chordle will include an option to leave space for hole punches :)

It will arrive in the store over the next day or two and should automatically update.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

According to the BT-106’s manual, the DIGIT, DUO, QUAD, StompKit, StompKit XL, and TAP all use the same technology. The QUAD has been tested successfully by us, so the BT-106 transceiver itself should work fine.

Thanks for your interest in Chordle!

When the next version is deployed to the store you will be able to print selected songs and the current set list. You can also use this feature to print to PDF files as well.

    Thanks for supporting Chordle!

  6. Choose whether or not to include Capo'ed sheet when exporting

I noticed when I am exporting a song (chordpro or Word) and I have saved a Capo'ed version of the song for myself, the export wants to export both the original key and the Capo'ed version. This is not helpful if I'm just wanting to share a song with someone who has another program (like OnSong or MobileSheets) because it imports a "double" song into their library.

It would be great to have the option to only export in original key. Once they import into their program, they can change the key to whatever they want.

  7. Correct how Barrè-Chords are shown

Actually You show the number of the fret BEFORE the one where the index finger is to be put. E.g. Chord "C" shall be played with index finger placed in fret 3. You show 2.

May be I am wrong, but I learned that the number of the fret is the one where the index finger needs to be placed.

Nevertheless, you are doing a great job!

The latest version of Chordle allows you to scale the font much bigger – hopefully this will take you a bit closer to where you need to get to.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

  9. Export with spaces instead of tabs.

Tab spacing is sometimes inaccurate as tab stops don't perfectly align with font. Replacing with white spaces makes exported document much more versatile - margins can easily be adjusted, paragraphs indented, font sizes altered without destroying chord alignment.

  11. Markup Language

I would find it helpful to have an very simple formatting language to be able to format e.g. comments or instrument specific annotations even in the chord line or between sections.

    Hi,

The next version of Chordle will allow you to use the ChordPro format to save and edit songs.

    Editing options: https://chordle.com/help10/editing-a-song
    ChordPro format: https://chordle.com/help10/chordproformat

This means you can now insert comments into song lines.

If you still want to use the existing “chords above lines” format you can also add comment lines to a song by starting the line with a #.

    Thanks for supporting Chordle!

The next version of Chordle will allow you to set a tempo for each song and display a visual metronome.

Thanks for the suggestion and for supporting Chordle!

    Kind regards,

  13. Sort not only by Title but also by Artist or Tag

If you got a lot of songs in your lists, there is a possibility needed to sort (and also search) by artist. Besides it would be great, if next to every title in the menu the artist would be displayed.
A list of all the used tags would be helpful too.
So the data would be better structured and easier to find.

  14. Formating for export to Word

Current print out is a single page per song. Can it be formatted for printing in songbook format with double column per page? It will be good also to format the song title, author, copyright etc.

This has been completed – Chordle will automatically update over the next few days, after which you will be able to optionally export word documents with one or two columns. Copyright information will also be added to the document footer. Thanks for supporting Chordle!

  15. One more idea: View and Search song library by title (as today) OR by artist!

In a gig setting, people often request an artist rather than a song. "Hey man, play some Van Morrison!" Would be great if My list of Van Morrison songs were a click and scroll away...

I'm hack the search feature today by including the artist with the title, but I'd rather not have to do that.

  16. Near perfect App! Bravo! One suggestion: Save scroll speed setting, for each song.

Save the last used scroll setting for each song, and restore it to that setting the next time a song is opened. For me this would entirely eliminate the need to use my AirTurn.

This has been completed. Chordle should update automatically over the next few days, after which you’ll be able to save the current scroll speed for a song as you’re playing it. If you’re in full screen mode the save button will be tucked away in the popup menu shown by the button in the bottom right of the screen.

    Thanks for supporting Chordle!

  17. Save chord variation selection against songs

I would like to be able to select the variation of a chord that I want to use against a song so that every time I play it, that specific chord is displayed in the chord list.

  18. add an option for auto exchange H and B chords

Lot of song (especially in Europe) are writtne with an H chords instead of B, but program does not reffer letter H as an actual chord and consequently it does not transpose them.

You’re now able to store the chord format that a song is written in, and Chordle is also able to automatically translate between different formats (e.g. B → H). You can choose your preferred format in the setting pane.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

  19. Please make Chordle work with Airturn Bluetooth products

Airturn has some great hands free page turning devices. Chordle does not seem to work with them even though it does work with the up-down/left-right keys.

I’ve tested the latest update with an AirTurn pedal, and it works fine. If you need to adjust the key mappings to work with your configuration you should be able to do that now in the settings pane. Please let us know at info@chordle.com if you’re still having trouble!
